Under the direction of head coach, two-time Olympian, Kamini Jain, our athletes follow an intense training program that includes both on-water and dry-land training components.  On water, our athletes practice 3-4 times per week in dragon boat, in addition to training in solo outrigger canoe.  On land, our athletes follow a strength and endurance training program that includes weights and cardio.  Additionally, many of our athletes cross-train in other paddle sports such as OC-6 (six person outrigger canoe), kayak, surf-ski, marathon canoe and high-kneel canoe.  As part of the on-going feedback process to monitor development and improvement, our athletes constantly receive team coaching, individual coaching, video analysis, and assessments through time trials and fitness testing. Join us as we train harder, paddle faster, and grow stronger to produce elite, internationally recognized dragon boat racing teams that dominate on the water and shine on the world stage! |
